PURPOSE:To improve accuracy in centering by aligning a spigot type centering device with the rotary axis accurately. CONSTITUTION:A centering reference hole (not shown) is provided at the spindle side, and an outer tube 20 having a spigot portion 20 fitted in the reference hole is provided at an end of a piston rod 18 in a cylinder unit 17 provided on the same center line. Also, a centering member 24 having a female center 24a in the outer tube 20 is urged to the chuck side respectively by springs 21, 23, and provided slidably. Thus, since two operations, i.e. longitudinal locating and centering operations, are simultaneously carried out for a short time only by one urging unit, a loading time is shortened and accuracy in centering is improved. |
