PURPOSE:To obtain a control method in clamping and breaking of a mold of a molding machine whose structure is simple and maintenability is favorable, by a method wherein a setting value of a speed and a detected value of a number of revolutions are compared with each other, the deviation value of the speed to be obtained in converted into a commanding value for output torque control and sent to a driving motor by converting to a control signal controlling an armature current of the driving motor. CONSTITUTION:When a mold break limit position is set up on a mold break limit position setting instrument 13, a position setting value is applied to a subtractor 21. A position detected value detected by a position detecting instrument 11 is applied to the subtractor 21 as a feed back signal, the position setting value and a position detecting value are compared with each other and put out as the deviation value of the position. The deviation value of the position is applied to a control meter 14 for mold breaking limit position holding, proportioned, compensated, operated and applied to a torque control instrument 20 in a motor driving circuit 16 as a commanding value for motor output torque limiting. The same is converted into a signal limiting motor output torque of a driving motor 9 to a commanding input value in a torque limiter 20. The driving motor 9 generates rotary torque within this torque limiting value by the control signal.
