A method and a device working accordingly for guiding troughed rubber conveyor belts in tight curves is proposed. So that the cross-sectional position, in particular the edge region of the belt, cannot change in the course of the curve, it is proposed to fix it by means of corresponding apparatuses. Profiled belts having a conical inner profile are suitable for the inner belt edge region and, if applicable, profiled supporting rollers or slide rails can be used for the outer belt edge region. <IMAGE>
