The car radio for traffic radio reception has a traffic radio decoder (28) which detects a continuous signal emitted by traffic radio transmitters, and an output (32) for an announcement identification signal transmitted only during traffic announcements. A digital memory (48) which is designed for recording a traffic announcement is connected downstream of the traffic radio decoder (28). This memory (48) has an upstream modulator (46) and a downstream demodulator (50), whose output can be connected to the input of an AF amplifier (36). In addition, a control circuit (52) is provided, a) which is connected to the memory (48) via a control line (62 to 66) for recording and replay, b) which is connected to the output (32), and c) is connected to a call-up key (play key) (56), so that the signal which is present at the AF output is stored in the memory (48) while there is a signal at the output (32), and the information contained in the memory (48) can be replayed as often as desired and at any desired time by operating the call-up key (56). <IMAGE>
