The present invention relates to a process for producing heat- insulating boards from fibre materials. The special feature consists in the fact that the fibres are mixed with a glue becoming adhesive under hot air and/or hot steam, the composition is introduced into a mould, if appropriate compacted mechanically to the desired density, hot air and/or hot steam are subsequently introduced under pressure, via hollow needles, into the interior of the pressed blank, led away via the board top side and/or board bottom side and subsequently dried and demoulded.
