1361864 Spiro-(indoline-2,5<SP>1</SP>-isoxazolines) FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 30 Sept 1971 [1 Oct 1970] 45663/71 Heading C2C The invention comprises spiro-(indoline-2,5<SP>1</SP>- isoxazolines) of the formula wherein R 1 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an alkoxycarbonyl group wherein the alkyl group has 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a nitro group or a methylene group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms; R 2 is a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group wherein the alkyl group has 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a cyano group or a phenyl group; R is an unsubstituted phenyl group, a phenyl group substituted by a halogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or an alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a methylene chain having 1 to 3 carbon atoms or a phenylene group; and m is an integer from 1 to 4. They may be prepared by reacting the corresponding indolenium salt or 2-methylene indoline with a corresponding hydroxamic acid halide in a solvent in the presence of a base. |
