Tracks for electric model railways have a track body (20) provided with sleepers (22) and metal rails (24) secured to its upper surface. The electrical and mechanical connection to an adjacent track is ensured by two frontal connecting areas (34). In order to obtain an improved mechanical and electrical connection with adjacent tracks, which is furthermore invisible, a recess (36) is formed in each connecting area (34), exclusively open in the direction of the lower surface (30) and of the connecting plane (32). A separate connecting element, symmetrical with respect to the connecting plane (32) has two identical heads (40) that can be snapped into the recess (36) of the connecting area. |
