PURPOSE:To securely detect and annunciate the abnormality of a connection cable such as the breaking of wire even when a feeding circuit which detects the breaking of wire of the connection cable is short-circuited by detecting an abnormal current flowing through the feeding circuit. CONSTITUTION:One terminal of an abnormality detector (resistance) 21 provided in an automatic transaction device 13 is grounded to the side of a warning device 11 and the other terminal is connected to the collector of a transistor TR 3 which is a semiconductor switch through an abnormal current detector 23. A battery 16 is connected to the emitter of the TR 3 to form the feeding circuit 33 to the resistance 21. Even if the connection cable 12 is disconnected, the current from the battery 16 flows to the circuit 33 through the TR 3, detector 23, and resistances 22 and 21. Further, even when the circuit 33 is short- circuited in the process of the disconnection of the cable 12, the abnormal current flows to the circuit 33 similarly and operates the detector 23. A buzzer 4 sounds through a FF circuit 25 through the operation of the detector 23 and a lamp 3 illuminates to indicate the abnormality.
