PURPOSE:To securely prevent the entry of moisture from an outside atmosphere and to maintain an optical transmitting function for a long period by carrying out dry plating on the external surface of the flexible tubular body of a solution type optical transmission hose. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical clad material 2 which is a flexible tubular body is made of fluororesin, a core material 2 made of fluorine-based oil having a higher refractive index than the fluororesin is charged in the clad material 2, and window materials 3 made of hard glass are fitted onto both end opening parts of the clad material 2 to close the core material 1. Aluminum is sputtered over the surface of the clad material 2 to form a dry plating layer 4. Consequently, the moisture in the outside atmosphere is prevented from entering the core material 1. |
