PURPOSE:To achieve an excellent sound collecting performance even if the location of a sound source is unspecified by comparing the magnitudes of outputs from microphones disposed in isolation, and selecting the largest output from among them. CONSTITUTION:When change-over switches 12, 13 are set at connecting positions 12a, 13c, the output of the microphones(mike) 11a, 11c are inputted to a comparator 15 as signal levels X1, X3 respectively through A/D converters 14a, 14b, where they are compared with each other. IN case X1<Y3, the connecting position of the switch 13 is held, and an output E3 is made a microphone output. Then if the switch is changed over at prescribed speed and connected to a position 12b, and if X2<Y3, the output E3 is made a microphone output and the switch 12 is connected to a position 12c likewise, but if X3=Y3, the output E3 is made a microphone output. On the other hand, when the magnitude relation between X-level and Y-level is inverted, the switch 13 is changed over at prescribed speed in the same sequence as the above, and the outputs are similarly compared with each other in the comparator 15. In such a way, an output corresponding to the maximum one of input sound pressure levels is selected and taken out for the output of the device. |
