发明名称 METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MEASURING ABSORBANCE
摘要 PURPOSE:To measure absorbance corresponding to the concentration of a sample without condensing nor diluting the sample by providing a part which is different in optical path length to a cell, and switching the optical path length according to the absorbance of the sample and taking a measurement with the best optical path length. CONSTITUTION:The cell 1 for spectral absorbance is made of quartz, etc., and so constituted that a wide part with long optical length l1 for putting a sample solution and a narrow part with short optical path length l2 are formed to, for example, about 1cm and 0.1cm respective while communicating vertically with each other. When the absorbance is measured by using this cell 1, the optical path length is switched to a short optical wavelength side P2 if the concentration measured on a long optical path length side P1 is large and a measurement is taken to reduce the value of absorbance to 1/10 without diluting the sample, thereby obtaining the measured with high accuracy within a range suitable to the measurement of a spectrophotometer. Similarly, when the concentration measured on the short optical path length side P2 is small, on the other hand, the optical path is switched to the long optical path length side P1 and a measurement is taken to increase the value of the absorbance by 10 times.
