PURPOSE:To improve readout capability of a magnetic card by combining a recess part with a projection part relative to contact between a head mounting eye for mounting a magnetic head and its stationary plate and contacting linearly with each other. CONSTITUTION:When the magnetic card A is brought into contact with the magnetic head 2, the magnetic head 2 is pushed up to give a pressure onto the magnetic card A because of elasticity of the stationary plate 1 for the mounting eye. On the other hand, the magnetic head 2 moves smoothly right and left to adapt itself to a curvature of the magnetic card A based on, as a center, the linearly contacting position of the recess part 6 of the stationary plate 1 for mounting eye and the projection part 7 of the head mounting eye 4 on both sides of the magnetic head 2. In this way, since a good follow-up of the magnetic head 2 with the magnetic card A is thus achieved, readout capability is hence improved.
