Centrifuge chamber seal - inflatable joint ring for automatic instant sealing and locking

An opening of a centrifuge chamber which requires temporary closure during the centrifuging operation is fitted with an expansible joint which can be inflated to effect a seal and lock the cover in position. Pref. the joint is an inflatable tube housed in an annular channel around the circumference of the cover so that inflation of the tube causes it to distend radially outward against the rim of the chamber opening.
