PURPOSE:To provide the titled sheet excellent in stability and surface properties of a coated surface and having a favorable color developing speed, by a method wherein an organic solvent solution of a metallic salt of an aromatic carboxylic acid showing a specified viscosity at a specified temperature is emulsified in water, and the resultant coating liquid is applied onto a base. CONSTITUTION:An organic solvent solution of a metallic salt of an aromatic carboxylic acid, e.g., copper, lead or magnesium salt of benzoic acid or salicylic acid, is emulsified in water to obtain a coating liquid, and when applying the coating liquid onto the base such as a paper, such an organic solvent that the viscosity of a 50wt% solution of the metallic salt in the solvent at 35 deg.C becomes 200-4,000cp, e.g., 1-propylphenyl-2-phenylethane or 1,1-ditolylethane, is used. |
