PURPOSE:To secure high power efficiency of a microwave tube, by making magnetic field intensity not exceed refocusing magnetic field intensity in the range beyond the specific plasma wave length corresponding to the electron density of electron beam. CONSTITUTION:After an electron beam 17 radiated along a tube axis 15 from an electron gun 16 consisting of a cathode 21 and an anode 22 finishes the action of a high frequency signal amplification in a mutually acting part 27 including a helix 18, while acting mutually with a high frequency signal supplied to input-output terminals 23, 24 of the helix 18 in the main magnetic field of a main magnetic field part 28 surrounding the mutually acting part 27, it becomes a spent beam 26 nearly paralleling to the tube axis, receiving a refocusing action at a refocusing part 19 by the terminal permanent magnet 11 of the main magnetic field part 28 and a refocusing permanent magnet 10. Then, the beam 26 falls on a multiple potential fall type collector 20 and is collected on an dessignad collector electrode 25. Thereby, a microwave tube can act so as to secure the expected high power efficiency. |
