PURPOSE:To simultaneously perform the reduction of a parasitic capacity, being parasitic to a video line, and the enlarging of the pitch of the output terminals of a horizontal scanning circuit by switching and transferring the line potential of a respective row to a video line by the first and the second horizontal selecting transistors (TRs). CONSTITUTION:By impressing the first horizontal scanning pulses phis1, phis2...phism and the second horizontal scanning pulses phiss1, phiss2...phissm, so that the horizontal selecting TRs 13-1, 13-2...13-mn, which are connected to the respective main horizontal selecting TRs 20-1, 20-2...20-m, turn on successively, in a period when the main horizontal selecting TRs 20-1, 20-2...20-m are turned on respectively, the horizontal scanning comes possible through the use of horizontal selecting switching TRs, the number of which is only 1/n of the number of picture elements. Thus, the intention of the reduction of the parasitic capacity, being parasitic to the video line, and of the enlargement of the pitch of the output terminals of the horizontal scanning circuit can be achieved.
