PURPOSE:To automatically change the direction of a camera aiming at the motion of a transmitting or a receiving user, and to take the picture of the said user from a suitable angle always by detecting the position of the said use, and controlling the direction of the camera according to the detected signal of the position. CONSTITUTION:A detecting device 2A is constituted with a transmitter 5 consisting of an LED 53 to emit an infrared ray, and a receiver 6 consisting of two photodiodes 62 to receive the infrared ray, and a control device 2B is constituted with a comparator 7 to compare the respective intensities of the infrared ray, caught by the two photodiodes 62, and a switching circuit 9 to switch the +, - of an power source 8 according to the output of the comparator 7, and a motor 10, the direction of the rotation of which is controlled by the switching of the switching circuit 9. Then, the detecting device 2A detects the position fo the transmitting or the receiving user, and the control device 2B controls the direction of the camera 1 according to the detected position of the said user, and takes the picture of the user at a suitable direction.
