PURPOSE:To easily perform the recording and transmission of a a desired part only, by performing the recording and transmission after changing either a designated part to fetch a data indicated from a vertical and horizontal size designation means or a part other than the designated part, to a white data. CONSTITUTION:When the partial transmission of the desired part X is performed, a coordinate from a reference position is inputted by the size designation key of an operating panel, and a vertical size and a horizontal size (xS, yS) (xE, yE) are designated, and a processor moves an optical device to a designated position (yS) based on a size designation signal, and scans to a designated position (yE), and the picture data of the designated part (yS yE) is transferred to the processor. The processor changes an area other than an area (xS xE) designated by the picture data (yS yE) to the white data. In such way, it is possible to perform the recording and transmission of the desired part easily only by designating the vertical and the horizontal sizes of an original.
