PURPOSE:To prevent hammering by a method wherein a degree of vacuum within a heat pipe is specified. CONSTITUTION:A degree of vacuum within a heat pipe is 0.1-10Torr. If a degree of vacuum within the heat pipe is 0.1-10Torr, air of non-condensation gas is left within the heat pipe, so that when a part of the heat pipe is heated, the air is pushed by evaporation flow and accumulated at a condenser part. Therefore, a block of liquid moving toward the condenser part under a bumping condition is prevented from being struck against an end cap due to a presence of air. If a degree of vacuum within the heat pipe is less than 0.1Torr, this effect may not be attained. If it exceeds 10Torr, a lower limit of working tem perature of the heat pipe is increased or a length of a part not acting as the condenser part is elongated, resulting that the heat pipe is not practically applied.
