PURPOSE:To enable the execution of proper temperature control by effecting rapid energization through proper detection of temperature even during repeated energization, by a method wherein a maximum power is energized to a sheath heater until a detecting temperature enters a regulation temperature region, and when it is within the regulation temperature region, a lower power is energized, while when a detecting temperature at the time of conduction of a power source exceeds a given temperature, a heat-sensitive element is cooled. CONSTITUTION:By means of a maximum power energizing means 6 where a detecting signal from a heat sensitive element 5 provided to a temperature detector 2 is used as an input, a maximum power is energized to a sheath heater 1 until a detecting temperature enters a regulation temperature region set to the temperature side lower than a set temperature. Similarly, in a partial energizing means 7, when a detecting temperature is within the regulation temperature region, a power lower than a maximum power is energized. When it is decided by means of a heat sensitive element cooling means 8 that a detecting temperature at the time of a power source conduction exceeds a given temperature, the heat sensitive element 5 is cooled by means of a cooling device 9. Thus, even during the re-energization right after the completion of energization, rapid energization can be executed by the precise detection of temperature to perform proper control of temperature.
