PURPOSE:To obtain the compact constitution of the captioned device by connecting a noise suppressing resistor in series with a secondary coil wound onto an iron core and embedding the resistor into thermosetting type synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:A primary wire 9 and a secondary wire 11 are wound onto the primary and secondary bobbins 8 and 10 of an ignition coil 1. One edge of the secondary wire 11 is connected to a primary terminal 18, and the other edge is connected to a high voltage terminal 15 through a noise suppressing resistor 21. The noise suppressing resistor 21 is housed in a high voltage tower part 20, and molded integrally with the primary wire 9 and the secondary wire 11 by using the insulation pouring type resin 24. Therefore, the need of incorporating a noise suppressing member into the cap of a distributor and a rotor is avoided.
