The instrument extracts a hollow steel pin inserted in pieces of bone to heal the fracture, the proximal end of the pin (20) having an opening (20a) in which the instrument is inserted. It has a spindle (1) with a fine screwthread (5) on the tapering distal end inserted in the pin and forming a polygonal bar (3) at the proximal end. There is a further thread (4) on the middle part, on which a sleeve (8) fits loosely, being thrust by a nut with flat washer (7,7a) screwing on the thread. USE/ADVANTAGE - Extractor for hollow steel bone pin. Exerts force on pin only in vertical direction, avoiding further fracture of bone.
