In an arrangement for longitudinal cutting of boards, there is a sensor device 11 and an indicator device which applies upon the board an indication 23 corresponding to the maximum possible length of the board. A control unit can be fed information on board prices with respect to at least two quality classes and varying timber section lengths. The control unit is intended to control the indicator device such that the latter applies upon the board a second indication 27 calculated to indicate the length of the board which, in the higher of the two quality classes, is equivalent in price terms to the maximum length of the board in the lower of the two quality classes. <IMAGE> |
