PURPOSE:To obtain the titled body which has high sensitivity and less residual voltage and excellent durability, without changing the characteristics, even in case of using repeatedly by providing a photosensitive layer contg. a specific azo pigment on a conductive substrate body. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer provided on the conductive substrate contains the azo pigment shown by the formula wherein A is alkyl, aryl, benzyl or a heterocyclic ring which may contain hydrogen substituent group, alkenyl, alicyclic hydrocarbon group, (n) is 0 or 1, Cp is a coupler residual group). The azo pigment displays an excellent ability as an effective component of the titled body. Namely, said azo pigment is used as the photoconductive substance which constitutes the photosensitive layer or as the carrier generating substance of a functional separation type photosensitive body which effects the generation and the transfer of the carrier by individual substances respectively, by merely utilizing the excellent carrier generating ability of said azo pigment. Thus, the titled body has good film forming property and excellent charge holding power, sensitivity and residual voltage, etc., and has less deterioration caused by fatigue even in case of repeatedly using, and has less change of the characteristics for heat and light, and has excellent stability. |
