PURPOSE:To improve the operability of the fine adjustment of a lens barrel and to decrease man-hours by moving an adjusting gear by a lock piece with a rack which engages the groove part of the lens barrel, and then fixing the lock piece to an external frame. CONSTITUTION:Rough positioning is performed so that the groove 3 of the lens barrel 2 fitted on the external frame 1 faces the square hole 4 of the external frame, and the lock piece 5 is inserted into the square hole 4 and engaged with the groove 3; and a gear 10 is fitted in the hole 6 of the external frame and engaged with the rack 7 of the lock piece 5, and the lens barrel is moved to adjust a back focus finely and linearly over the entire area. A screw 9 is engaged threadably with the screw hole 8 of the lens barrel after the adjustment and pressed and fixed by the tip of the lock piece and then the gear 10 is detached, thus completing the focusing. Thus, the rack is provided to the lock piece which is movable in optical-axis directions and the lens barrel is adjusted finely by the constant movement quantity of the adjusting gear 10 to improve the operability and decrease man-hours of the adjustment.
