<p>A heat exchanger comprises a number of rows of tubes, a number of horizontal tubes in each of these rows, and a header or headers, formed of vertical inlet, outlet out intermediate chambers, a liquid flow can pass in succession from the inlet chamber, through successive rows of tubes and intermediate chambers, to the outlet chamber. Specif. the horizontal tubes may be semicircular or curved in plan, thus constituting a number of concentric arcs, the headers may comprise two vertical columns, or alternatively the inlet, outlet and intermediate chambers are all combined into one column. The system is esp. suitable for aluminium tubes, expanded into the tube plates.</p> |
