The light core is comprised of small tubes (1) of duromer synthetic material and a fiber sheet, particularly paper, of which the axis are substantially perpendicular to the front surfaces of the core and wherein adjacent tubes are connected together by their outer surfaces. For the making of the core, the tubes (1) made for example of paper, are rolled and piled in a plurality of layers, the axis thereof being parallel. They are then impregnated with a duromer material and they are allowed to cure while applying during or after their hardening coating plates or sheets (16, 16') on the piled tubes. After hardening, the piled tubes are cut transversally to their axis to obtain core plates or bands. The faces of said cut surfaces will form the front faces of the cores which are glued in the manufacturing of a composite body, for example a ski, on appropriate coverplates. |
