PURPOSE:To improve characteristics such as sensitivity and a responding speed by adding specific ascorbic acid as a deterioration inhibitor to a charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:Ascorbic acid expressed by a formula I is added as a deterioration inhibitor to the charge transfer layer. Namely, the ascorbic acid expressed by the formula I is added as the deterioration inhibitor in a solution prepared by dissolving the charge transfer material and a binder polymer in an organic solvent to obtain a coating solution, and a conductive base or a charge generation layer on the conductive base is coated and dried. In this case, the deterioration inhibitor is added by >=0.0001%, preferably, 01-0.001% of the total weight of the charge transfer material, binder polymer, and solvent. Consequently, the response characteristic and sensitivity of an electrophotographic sensitive body are improved. |
