PURPOSE:To maintain the specified conditions (temp., humidity, pressure) in a painting booth by providing a balance adjuster, feed air flow regulators and discharge air flow regulators to the booth. CONSTITUTION:The balance adjuster 12 which outputs feed air and exhaust fan air flow regulation signals to respective loads by computation from the set air flow values of air feed fans 2a, 2b and exhaust fans 4a, 4b during the normal operation of the painting booth 1 and the set values of the ratios of the decrease in the air flow rates of respective operation modes corresponding to the operation modes is provided. The feed air flow regulators 8a, 8b and the discharge air flow regulators 10a, 10b which regulate the air flow rates by the signals from the balance adjuster 12 are provided. If the painting booth is constituted in the above-mentioned manner, the air flows are regulated by the balance adjuster 12 in spite of a fluctuation in the load of the booth 1 and, therefore, the specified conditions in the booth 1 are maintained. The danger of dust infiltration into the booth 1 is thereby eliminated and the reliability of painting is additionally improved.
