PURPOSE:To facilitate error checking without hindering system operation by registering contents of an error on a memory at the time of detecting the error by a program and operating the system unless the system operation has an influence upon the error with respect to a device which connects a console and a display device only at the time of maintenance. CONSTITUTION:If an error occurs, error information 2 is reported to an error register program 4 through an error detection reporting line 3 by an error detection program 1 and a table 5 is referred to queue 9 an error register processing program 4 in an error information queue 8. Then, the console and the display device are connected at the time of maintenance, and error information in the queue 8 is displayed on the display device in response to the error display request from the console.
