PURPOSE:To make it possible to cope with the lower height of a cowl and the lower height of bonnet, by attaching a wiper to a cowl panel supporting the lower end part of a front windshield glass pane, and by attaching a wiper drive device to the lower surface of a dash upper panel. CONSTITUTION:The front end 20 of a dash upper panel 18 and the front end part 24 of a cowl panel 22 are jointed to the upper end part 16 of a dash lower panel partitioning between the passenger compartment 12 and an engine room 145, and the lower end part of a front windshield glass pane is supported in a recess 38 formed on the rear end side of the cowl panel 22. In this arrangement, journalling parts 62, 64 for journalling wiper shafts 58, 60 are attached to the cowl panel 22, and wiper arms 66, 68 are fixed to the outboard side forward ends of the wiper shafts 58, 60. Levers 74, 76 linked together by an associating link 78 are fixed to the inner ends of the wiper shafts 58, 60, and are associatingly coupled to an actuating lever 106 of a wiper drive device 92 attached to the lower surface of a dash upper panel 18 through the intermediary of an actuating link 112. |
