NEW MATERIAL:Phthalocyanine hexadecafluorides compounds expressed by the formula (M is H2, AlX or VO; X is I, Br, Cl, F or OH). EXAMPLE:Iodidealminum phtalocyanine hexadecafluoride. USE:An high quality pigment having high light resistance, photorecording medium, electrophotographic and photosensitive material having photoelectric transfer medium or the like. PREPARATION:4,5,6,7-Tetrafluoro-diiminoisoindoline is heated in an alcoholic solvent such as dimethylaminoethanol, etc., at 30-150 deg.C or 3,4,5,6- tetrafluoronitrile and aluminum iodide are heated in the presence (or absence) or an inert organic solvent at 130-300 deg.C to provide the objective compound expressed by the formula (M is H2 or AlI). The compound expressed by the formula wherein M is AlX and X is above mentioned group except I can be produced from said compound expressed by formula wherein M is AlX.
