发明名称 END SEALING MATERIAL FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT USING PLASTIC FILM SUBSTRATE
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a suitable end sealing material for a liquid crystal display element by constituting the sealing material of a cured product of a specified epoxy resin with xylylenediamine or a modified product of xylylenediamine. CONSTITUTION:An end sealing material for liquid crystal display element contg. a substrate comprising plastic film is constituted of a product obtd. by curing epoxy resin consisting primarily of epoxidized polyetherglycol having epoxy groups expressed by the formula I in both terminals of the molecule and having >=one -(CnH2n-O-)- residue in a molecule obtd. by the reaction with xylylenediamine or a modified product of xylylenediamine. In -(CnH2nO)-, n is 1-5, m is 1-25, pref. 2-7. The epoxy resin has high adhesion to plastic film comprising polyester, polyether, polyether sulfone, polysulfone, polycarbonate, etc. other than fluorine contg. resin. By this constitution, an end sealing material having satisfactory adhesion, and superior resistance to liquid crystal is obtd.
