摘要 PURPOSE:To improve image resolution by guiding one of plural beams to one incidence surface of an optical means and adjusting the relative optical axis arrangement of plural beams projected by the optical means. CONSTITUTION:Cylindrical lenses 13 and 15 and a cylindrical lens 17 are arranged so that a rotary polygon mirror surface and an image plane 18 are optically conjugate, thereby correcting an error due to the surface inclination of the rotary polygon mirror surface 14. Then the scanning positions of parallel beams 5 and 6 are detected by a scanning start detector 26 and the parallel beams 5 and 6 of a laser diode 1 are modulated with a specific image signal in synchronism with the scanning of the parallel beams 5 and 6 to form plural scanning lines by one scan on the image plane 18 of a photosensitive body 25, thereby obtaining an image. Further, the angles and parallel movement distances of output light beams 8 and 11 from a polarization beam splitter 7 are adjusted by adjusting a mirror 9. Intervals of beam spots on the image plane 18 of the photosensitive body 25 can be set optionally irrelevantly to intervals of light emission points of the laser diode 1. Consequently, the intervals of the scanning lines are narrowed down to obtain high resolution.
