PURPOSE:To rapidly display a density distribution model by a simple processing by calculating the luminance of a density distribution element in each picture element from the density, depth and light intensity of each picture element and displaying the calculated value. CONSTITUTION:A light intensity calculating program 10 calculates light intensity on each vortex of the density distribution element from density distribution element data and light source data. A depth sorting program 20 sorts the density distribution element at its depth. A scanning conversion program 30 develops the sorted density distribution element in each picture element and calculates the density, depth and light intensity of each picture element by means of linear interpolation. A luminance calculating program 40 calculates the luminance in each picture element by using the density, depth and light intensity of each picture element and sends the calculated result to a graphic display 4. Thus, the density distribution model is displayed. |
