PURPOSE:To improve the stability during storage before development by incorporating an aldehyde absorbent into the photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:When a photosensitive layer contg. microcapsules having walls of polycondensed aldehyde resin housed silver halide, a reducing agent and a polymerizable compd. is formed on a support to obtain a photosensitive material, an aldehyde absorbent is incorporated into the photosensitive layer. Any compd. which reacts with or bonds to free residual aldehyde and converts the aldehyde into an inert substance such as aldoxime may be practically used as the aldehyde absorbent. The aldehyde absorbent may be selected among urea, urea compds. such as thiourea and ethylene urea, hydrazine compds., dicyandiazide, acid salts thereof and hydroxylamine hydrochloride. Superior shelf stability (raw stock preservability) is provided. |
