PURPOSE:To reduce a loss of paper due to a failure in gripping thereof by a construction wherein grippes for a printed sheet are fixed to a gripper shaft, while grippes for a slip sheet are fitted freely to a gripper shaft through the intermediary of helical torsion springs, and only the grippes for a slip sheet are opened and closed simultaneously and separately at a slip sheet insertion position. CONSTITUTION:Printed sheet 30 being applied with copperplate printing is gripped by a gripper 22, and when the gripper end thereof reaches an opposite contact point with a delivery cylinder 31, grippers 47 for a printed sheet and grippers 48 for a slip sheet are opened all at once and then closed, while the gripper 22 is opened. Therefore the printed sheet 30 is gripped by both the grippers 47 and 48 instead. When gripper ends thereof reach a slip sheet insertion position, the grippers 48 for the slip sheet are opened against the springing force of helical torsion springs 50 and then closed after they pass a cam surface, and therefore they grip the slip sheet 37 on a feed board 38. Consequently, the printed sheet 30 and the slip sheet 37 are gripped by the grippers 47 and 48 respectively in a state wherein they overlap correctly with each other. Then, the conveyed sheets 30 and 37 are released from gripping of the grippers 47 and 48 when they are opened simultaneously, and the sheets drop onto a pile table 36 and are piled thereon.
