PURPOSE:To keep a base line constant while achieving the simplification of flow passage constitution by bringing an analytical flow passage to one system, by providing a heating device to the outer periphery of the pipeline connecting the discharge end of a column and the flow cell of a spectrometer. CONSTITUTION:The component discharged from a column 2 is carried to a pipe 5 by a mobile phase to flow in a heating device 1. This inflow specimen mobile phase liquid containing the separated component receives the heat from a heater 7 through a metal layer 5a and the pipe 5 to be heated to definite temp to flow in a flow cell 3a. The mobile phase liquid discharged from the column 2 before the specimen component is discharged in heated to the definite temp. by the heater 7 to flow in the flow cell 3a which is, in turn, preheated to determined definite temp. Therefore, absorbancy is measured without generating the change is liquid temp. even when the mobile phase liquid flows in and a detection signal relying only on absorbance based on the concn. of the specimen component is generated. By this method, a base line can be kept constant.
