PURPOSE:To enable manual writing on a part of the image-receiving side of an image- receiving paper, prevent defective printing from occurring even when the image- receiving paper is fitted to a printer in a wrong direction, and enhance operability, by providing a printable region and a writable region on the image-receiving side or a cut paper form image-receiving paper, and providing a detectable marker on the rear. CONSTITUTION:An image-receiving part 1a of an image-receiving paper is coated so as to be capable of receiving a sublimable dye from a sublimable dye type transfer paper, and the surface of the part 1a is so smooth that it is difficult to write thereon with a ballpoint pen, a water-based ink type felt-tip pen, a pencil or the like. A writable part 1b is prepared by matte-finishing the image-receiving side to enhance writability. A marker 1c is provided on the rear. Before a printing operation is started the position of the marker 1c is detected by a reflection-type photosensor provided in a main body of a printer, thereby detecting whether the image-receiving paper 1 is set in the proper direction. When the paper 1 is set in a wrong direction, the photosensor does not detect the market 1c. In that case, a paper-feeding belt is not moved in a turning manner, so that a defective printing is prevented from occurring, and an alarm lamp provided on the main body of the printer is made to blink. |
