PURPOSE:To realize a wide range speed control at an inexpensive cost, by a method wherein an AC switch is provided between a load and a power source while the AC switch is opened and closed for a period expressed in terms of cycles of alternating current, one cycle being the smallest unit. CONSTITUTION:An AC switch 5 is provided between an AC power source 1 and an AC motor 4. The AC switch 5 is controlled by a pulse generator 6. In this case, the opening and closing of the AC switch is effected in terms of cycles of an alternating circuit, one cycle being the smallest unit. Accordingly, a high speed rotation may be obtained when the conducting period of the switch 5 is long and the non-conducting period of the same is short. On the contrary, a low speed rotation may be obtained when the conducting period is short and non-conducting period is long. |
