PURPOSE:To readily obtain a highly faithful reproduction signal by modulating a phase while using information on the amplitude of a digitally stored signal, and reproducing a signal. CONSTITUTION:A signal R is inputted to a down converter 1, and mixed with two signals different in phase to generate a local oscillator 2. Then two IF signals are outputted. An A/D converter 3 quantizes on bit, then a clock 4 and a sampler 5 samples. The sampled value is stored in a digital memory 6. In order to reproduce the digitally stored signal, a phase modulator 7 and a local oscillator 8 are used. The signal applied with phase modulation and two signals different is phase that a local oscillator 10 generates are mixed by an up converter 9, and an adder 11 adds the two signals to attain a reproduced signal R'.
