PURPOSE:To simplify a process and to obtain a dial which is rich in variety by forming a nonconductive layer which serves for decoration effect and as permanent resist by printing and polishing its surface. CONSTITUTION:Support legs 2 are fitted to a dial base material 1 and its surface is polished and then given a pattern. Then rough plating for constituting a decorative plating layer 4 is carried out, the patterned decorative plated surface 3 is punched, and the nonconductive resin layer 5 which serves as for decoration effect and as permanent resist is formed by printing. Then a partial electroforming layer 6 is formed and a transparent resin layer 7 is formed, and then its surface polished.
