PURPOSE:To protect the diaphragm of a closed-type hydraulic rush adjuster from heat by mounting a cylindrical rocker arm hanger having an oil chamber which surrounds the diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical rocker arm hanger 24 having an oil chamber 28 which surrounds the rubber diaphragm 23 of a closed-type hydraulic rush adjuster is slidably joined with the rush adjuster. A shaft 30 is attached to the outside face of the rocker arm hanger and supports the rocker arm. Thus, the diaphragm is set apart from a heat source such as a hot combustion chamber, thereby protecting the diaphragm from heat.
