PURPOSE:To improve power factor and efficiency by casting crossbars into respective slots of a secondary iron core and by providing side bars each connecting both ends of said crossbars, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A reaction plate for linear motor is composed of a secondary conductor obtained by casting crossbars 12a into a secondary iron core 10 with slots 10a-10c formed at given spaces in a direction of movement and by connecting both ends of said crossbars 12a through side bars 12b, respectively. Further, casting of crossbars 12a, side bars 12b and a center bar 12c into slots 10a-10c is performed by pouring a molten aluminum into a casting mold after said slots 10a-10c have been worked. Thus, the secondary conductor 12 is firmly fixed to the secondary iron core 10, because aluminum solidifies in the manner of fastening said secondary iron core 10.
