PURPOSE:To sharply expand a dynamic range in a fuel injection valve as a whole, by setting each of plural fuel injection valves to such being different in capacity each in the case where these fuel injection valves are installed in each cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Plural fuel injection valves 6 and 7 are set up in each cylinder 1, of which the fuel injection valve 6 is set own to a first fuel injection valve and the fuel injection valve 7 to a second fuel injection valve, respectively. These fuel injected valves 6 and 7 are provided with a fuel metering nozzle 8, a needle valve 9 opening or closing this nozzle 8, a solenoid 10 for lifting this needle valve 9 with electromagnetic force and a strainer 11 each. Current- energization to the solenoid 10 takes place in pulse form, whereby the needle valve 9 is lifted up and fuel is therefore sprayed in the current-energization only. Size of this pulse width is judged by an output signal out of an engine control computer. |
