PURPOSE:To set an optimum speed for a rough read by conveying a film at a stored constant speed through the operation of a switch means instead of conveyance control by a manual operation knob at the time of the low-speed conveyance of the film. CONSTITUTION:When a memory switch 27 is turned on at the time of a low- speed run, the current output voltage of the manual operation knob 4 and the current driving voltages of motors M1 and M2 are digitized by a D/A converter 26 and written in the internal RAM of a microcomputer 21. Thus, the voltage data are written in the RAM of the microcomputer temporarily with the memory switch 27 ON, and then the microcomputer 21 operates thereafter in the low-speed run, so that even if the manual operation knob 4 is rotated, the speed never exceed the speed written in the RAM and is fixed. Further, a speed below the speed written in the RAM is freely adjustable by operating the manual operation knob 4.
