PURPOSE:To obtain a toner free from fogging and scattering and superior in offset prevention performance by mixing an organosilane compound with a vinyl type monomer having a hydroxyl group and subjecting the mixture to hydrolysis treatment and/or cross-linking treatment, and using the obtained polymer for a binder. CONSTITUTION:The electrostatic charge image developing toner is obtained by mixing the organosilane compound represented by the general formula: XSiYnZm with a vinyl type monomer having a hydroxyl group, and subjecting the mixture to hydrolysis treatment and/or cross-linking treatment, and using the obtained polymer for the binder of a colorant and a magnetic powder. The organosilane compound of said formula is obtained by copolymerizing a 0.1-50wt% organosilane compound and another 99.9-50wt% vinyl type monomer, and in said general formula: XSiYnZm, X is a group having a polymerizable double bond; Y is a hydrolyzable group; Z is an inert monovalent organic group; n is the number of combined Y, and it is 1, 2, or 3; m is a number of combined Z and it is 0, 1, or 2; and n+m=3. |
