PURPOSE:To discriminate at a glance image areas binarized by using different thresholds from each other on an output image by surrounding with a full line or broken line the range of an area designated by an area designating means, and outputting it in an image mode together with an image. CONSTITUTION:Movable cursors 29, 30 set on a monitoring screen 17 designate an image area(an extent on the screen) for which image signals are binarized by using a threshold different form that used for other areas. A photoelectrical conversion means (b) generates image signals from the designated area in the image area of a film (a) designated by the area designating means (c) by using a threshold different from that used for other image areas, and outputs them, and thus outputted signals are digitized. A frame generating means (e) surrounds thus designated extent of area with a full line or broken line, and output the result in form of an image together with the image of the film. As a result, image areas binarized by using different thresholds can be easily discriminated form each other on the output image. |
