PURPOSE:To automatically judge the life of a thyratron, by measuring the time from a transmission trigger to the rising point of a modulation wave form. CONSTITUTION:A counter 4 counts the number of clocks 2 on the basis of a transmission trigger 1 to measure a time and a comparator 6 applies a defenite threshold to a modulation wave form 3 and detects a signal 7 to output the same. A rising detection circuit 8 allows the rising part of the detection signal 7 to be synchronous to the clock 2 to output a rising signal 9 and a latch 10 latches the count signal 5 from the counter 4 on the basis of the rising signal. By this method, the time corresponding to Td in a drawing is measured. The judgement of a prescribed value is performed on the basis of the value of this latched count signal 11 by a comparator 12 to display said value on a display device 13.
