PURPOSE:To perform the optimum steering operation of an own ship in searching and attacking a target, by detecting a searching difficult region from the wakes and searching/forecasting data of an own ship, friendly vessels and the target to display the same simultaneously with the wakes and the searching/ forecasting data. CONSTITUTION:The past wake data 4 of an own ship, friendly vessels and a target are sent to a correction circuit 1 and converted to coordinates having the present position of the own ship as center coordinates. The corrected wake data 5 are sent to a detection circuit 2 and compared with searching/forecasting data 6 to detect a searching difficult region to output display data 7 which are, in turn, outputted to be displayed on a display circuit 3. That is, the present position 11 of the own ship is set to the center of a picture and the time before the searching possible region 17 and searching impossible region 19 based on the searching/forecasting data and the wakes 11-16 of the own ship, the friendly vessels and the target are lost is displayed and a searching difficult region 18 is displayed. Therefore, the optimum steering operation for searching the target becomes clear.
